Grading Key: iAnnotate Decoded

This semester, all of your written work for this course will be graded in iAnnotate, an iPad app that allows me to mark up PDFs of your written work.  In addition to making this a “paperless” course, iAnnotate allows for me to color code my comments to help you visually identify notes about your argument, structure, supporting evidence, style, citations, and spelling and/or grammatical errors.

Below, you’ll find a key to help you easily decode this color coded grading scheme.  I hope you will not only use the comments to help improve your argumentative writing skills, but use this color coded model to consider your personal strengths and weakness as a writer, and track your progress over the semester.  The colors below correspond to the writing rubric provided.
